Children, Parents and Community Team

At Marsden Community Primary School we want to make sure that children are happy, secure and successful. Sometimes children or their families need extra help to make sure of this. There is a team of adults within school who organise and provide additional support for parents, carers and children, ensuring the best provision for all.

Inclusion Manager

Mrs Rachel Alker is our school Inclusion Manager and SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and DisabilitiesCo-ordinator). She works closely with your child’s teacher to track your child’s progress in school and organise extra support if your child is experiencing difficulties. This support may be provided by adults in school or specialists from outside of school such as Speech and Language Therapists. If you think your child may need additional support or you are worried about your child’s progress please talk to the class teacher or Mrs Alker.
